It’s always a delight to see children lining the river banks and squealing with joy as Steamboat Springs firefighters dump the ducks over the Fifth Street Bridge. This event is about family and community and embodies the spirit of Hospice, which cares for terminally ill patients throughout Northwest Colorado and provides grief support and assistance to their loved ones. Without your support, we would not be able to serve everyone needing end-of-life care.
We’re grateful to volunteers on our staff and in the community for helping with the race. A special shout out to Mary Monger, who sold hundreds of tickets and is unfailing in her love for this event and everything rubber ducky. Thank you also to Hospice volunteer Roger Carlson, for spending countless hours selling tickets at City Market. Your kindness and personality are a huge asset to our team. Thank you Routt County for a successful 2017 Rubber Ducky Race. We’re looking forward to next year.
Sincerely,
