Every year, spring in the Yampa Valley is marked by the beautiful yellow displays of Hospice Daffodils in homes, offices, businesses, restaurants, schools, and organizations throughout Routt and Moffat County. These heralds of spring bring us joy and hope as they signify not only the changing of the seasons, but the compassion and care they allow us to bring to so many members of our community through Hospice.
We often hear from Hospice patients’ families how grateful they are for the love and care they receive, both for their loved one and themselves. Recently a Hospice family member shared how her mother’s face would light up when our Hospice staff would visit. She considered them family, and she loved the company and time to share her stories. Her daughter appreciated the input and support from our staff that allowed her to enjoy the last years of life with her mother doing things together like reading, singing, dancing, doing crafts and writing stories, instead of her just being a caregiver. We are honored to be part of this important time in life for so many of our neighbors, and we are grateful to you for purchasing Hospice Daffodils to help these families and patients who need our care.
Your donations and support show that you understand the importance of having Hospice in our community, and ensure we have a dedicated, experienced staff that can deliver care to all residents in need, anywhere in our large rural region.
Your generosity allows our family members, friends, and neighbors to spend their end of life in the company of loved ones and in the comfort of their home. These individuals deserve the opportunity for the best quality of life, spiritual support, limited pain and suffering, and optimal time with family and friends. Their loved ones deserve longer-term support after they have passed. Partners like you help us continue to provide this care for patients in our community, while supporting their families through the process.
We want to extend a special thank you to our volunteers who contribute countless hours collecting orders, delivering Daffodils and helping with many aspects of this fundraiser. Without your help, we would not have these early heralds of spring to adorn our communities, inspire hope and remind us to live each day to the fullest.
In gratitude,
