Thank you for supporting Hospice Daffodils

With tremendous gratitude and reflection, we celebrated the 35th anniversary of the Hospice Daffodils fundraiser this March. What started as a thoughtful tribute three decades ago has become a beloved community tradition — made possible by the many volunteers and supporters who bring it to life each year. These heralds of hope remind us of the compassion and care they allow us to extend to so many neighbors through Hospice.

The coordination and delivery of every bunch involve many hands. A heartfelt thank you to our volunteers who contribute countless hours wrapping flowers, distributing order forms, and delivering and selling daffodils across our community. We are also deeply grateful to Susanne Bostrom, who launched this fundraiser 35 years ago alongside Jan Fritz when Hospice first came to our community, and to Barb Ross, who has shared her beautiful artwork for 25 years. This truly is a collective effort, and it’s inspiring to see it continue to grow every year.

The growing support from those who purchase daffodils is inspirational. Your donations reflect your understanding of how vital Hospice is to our community — ensuring we have a dedicated, experienced staff able to deliver care to all residents in need across our large rural region. Your generosity allows family members, friends, and neighbors to spend their final days in the company of loved ones and the comfort of home and enables our team to provide bereavement support after the loss of a loved one.

In gratitude, Steph Einfeld, CEO, Northwest Colorado Health
