Thank you to everyone who participated in our annual Hospice Daffodils fundraiser. We are grateful to the 60 volunteers in Routt and Moffat counties who gave their time (more than 200 hours) to help with this event. This fundraiser also would not be possible without the 230 businesses and organizations that pre-ordered Daffodils and six local retailer partners who provided us space on sale day.
Year after year you adorn your offices, schools, homes and businesses with our cheerful daffodils. It’s a deeply meaningful gesture recognizing our skilled and compassionate hospice staff and volunteers and the many patients who have spent their final days in peace and dignity under our care. Julie Gates, our Clinical Supervisor of home services, perhaps best explains the importance of hospice in our communities. “Hospice is about family and how we can support them through what often is the hardest journey they have ever faced. If we can help ease stress and confusion and make our patients comfortable so they can have quality time with the ones they love during this part of their life, we have succeeded.”
Thank you for helping ensure our Hospice and Palliative Care program will continue to be here for residents nearing end-of-life and families and children who need our care and support in our communities.
Sincerely,
Lisa Brown, CEO
