The human body is meant to move. Whether your movement of choice is running, swimming, walking, tai chi, or gentle movements like yoga, we believe that regular exercise and social engagement keeps you healthy and more independent for a longer period of time. That’s why we created the Aging Well program over 6 years ago.
The Aging Well program is not just about exercise for older adults. It is about giving you the tools you need to take control of your health. It’s about providing you with screenings and wellness clinics to prevent illness and injury before they happen. It’s about giving you inspiration through speakers and educators. It’s about building friendships through regular activity. And most importantly, it’s about giving you a sense of community.
Get up and get moving, every day.
Get together to cook healthy meals with friends and family.
Get home and get a good night’s sleep.
And when you get up in the morning, look forward to what this next day has to offer.
We are humbled and warmed by the local organizations from one end of the valley to the other who believe in our Wellness and Aging programs and support them with generous funding such as The Over the Hill Gang, Phippsburg Community Club and Christmas for Seniors in Craig.
