SUBMISSION GUIDELINES:
Thank you so much for your consideration of this important fundraiser and providing us the opportunity to showcase your beautiful artwork!
PLEASE READ THOROUGHLY AND FILL OUT ALL SECTIONS COMPLETELY. Incomplete applications will not be accepted.
Space is limited–Artists are strongly encouraged to apply early. Entry is open to all local local Colorado artists and may be in one of (3) categories:
- Professional Artist (Juried)
- Professional Artist – Donated Art Only (Non-Juried)
- NWCOVNA Employee or Volunteer (Non-Juried)
- All Mediums are accepted including 2-D and 3-D
- You may submit up to 3 original pieces for sale (space permitting)
- You may submit unlimited flat file bin work for sale.
SUBMISSION FEE: $10.00 (tax deductible) per artist (note: if donating any work, submission fee is waived)
- You may donate as many pieces as you wish (please fill out all info on our form for donated work)
- All art MUST BE SIGNED, completely dry and “Gallery Ready” for display.
Please attach two completed “submission tags” to each piece submitted upon delivery (including donated and bin work). (submission tags, see attachment).
THE FINE PRINT:
The art will be displayed at the Art Depot in Steamboat Springs from Thursday December 5th through Thursday, December 26th, 2013.
This exciting art event and benefit will begin with a special preview opening by invitation only on Thursday, December 5th, from 5:30pm – 8:00pm, complete with live music, food and silent auction of donated pieces. All selected artists are invited and encouraged to attend as a representative of their featured work. The show will open to the public on Friday, December 6th concurrent with the First Friday Artwalk from 5:00-8:00pm. Art will also be featured on our website for advance purchase.
Artwork will be available for purchase for the duration of the Event for a set price as determined by the individual artist. Commission schedule is as follows: 45% to Artist, 45% to NWCOVNA’s Hospice and Palliative Care Program, and 10% to the Steamboat Springs Arts Council. Artists may elect to donate work exclusively for the event, or following the event if not sold.
Artists must pick up any unsold work on Friday, December 27th from 9:00am – 12noon at the Depot, or may assign a designated individual to pick up their work for them. You must notify us via email if you are assigning someone else to pick up your work.
If artist elects to donate work not sold, or artist/assignee does not pick up work on 12/27, it will become the property of NWCOVNA and will be utilized in future fundraising efforts for NWCOVNA, exhibited at NWCOVNA offices and/or the Rollingstone Respite House.
Any sale proceeds from the artwork to be paid to the artist will be processed and paid by Steamboat Springs Arts Council by January 31, 2014.

11/17/13: NOTIFICATIONS OF JURY SELECTION VIA EMAIL

12/02/13: ART DELIVERED TO DEPOT 9am -12noon
12/05/13: OPENING RECEPTION—BY INVITATION ONLY 5:30-8:00 PM (all show artists invited to attend)
12/06/13: FIRST FRIDAY OPENING TO THE PUBLIC 5:30-8:00 PM
12/27/13: PICK UP UNSOLD ARTWORK AT THE DEPOT 9:00 AM -12:00 NOON
